Beginning Piano Lessons Children and piano lessons for beginners online
Music is said to be a universal language. How do children learn a language? Do they learn to read and write at the same time? The answer is: They learn by hearing and associating, and they learn to read and write later. There is a new program that teaches children how to learn to play the piano by ear. In short, the children learn to play with a computer game that is connected to a digital piano keyboard. The game shows a color, and the children have to press that color on the keyboard. Before they know it, they are playing. The game also teaches them to read. It happens gradually and they don’t realize they’re learning to read. Before they know it, they can read.
This program is great because you buy one program for around $600, and all your children can play this video game and learn to play the piano keyboard. This game has 100 lessons. If you want to know what is the cost of piano lessons for beginners, it is about $70 an hour for private piano lessons for each child. That means that it would roughly cost $7,000 for each child to have 100 lessons. It is worth it if your child is a music genius, but until you know for sure, this program helps to get started with playing the piano.
Video piano lessons for beginners
Once your child can play and read, and they have shown themselves to be talented at playing the piano, it is time to progress to video lessons. Video lessons can be in one of 2 forms: Where you buy a video with 20 lessons, or you have video lessons with a real teacher online.
The 20 lessons may be a step backwards as it starts at the beginning as well. You will have to use your judgement; if your child is good at piano they may want to skip this step, or if you don’t want them to learn to play by ear, you can start with video lessons. If you’re not sure, send me a video of your child playing the piano. I will be able to tell you which program to go for next.
Where to find a teacher
Another form of video lesson is where you have a real teacher who will send you a video of the first lesson. You will need to show your child or children the video, and help them to try out what the teacher teaches. Your child then has to practice, and when they’re ready, you can take a video with your phone or camcorder of the child playing the lesson. You then upload the video and send it to the teacher. The teacher will send a video back of how the child can improve. When the teacher feels your child is ready, they will send your child the next lesson.
Video lessons are cheaper than private lessons because the teacher has the lessons already on video. The only extra work the teacher has to do is to evaluate your child’s playing.
